Barrel Run in Tropical Storm

A dramatic surf sequence begins in a violent tropical storm at a reef break. A surfer drops down the face of a giant dark-green wave and drives into the barrel. The camera accelerates and locks just behind the surfboard’s tail, tracking through the hollow tube. Water walls thunder around the frame while the board and the surfer’s back foot stay centered and sharp. Lightning flickers through the translucent lip of the wave. Foam lines and spray become pure speed blur. In the final seconds, the barrel opens and the camera shoots with the surfer out into open water as the wave detonates behind in a huge white collapse.
