Elderly Man Seafront Bench

Cut 1: A gray morning seafront. An elderly man arrives at the same weathered bench with two paper cups of tea, placing one beside him out of habit before remembering. Cut 2: A little girl nearby watches him talk softly to the empty space and grows curious rather than afraid. Cut 3: She walks over and points at the extra tea. Cut 4: He smiles gently. “It was my wife’s seat.” Cut 5: The girl thinks, then climbs up and sits there carefully. “I can keep it warm.” Cut 6: He laughs with tears in his eyes as gulls wheel overhead, and for one tender moment grief becomes companionship instead of silence.
